I will be forever grateful to Mark for handling the majority of work during the first few days of passage. I am usually sickly (not sick, just ick). I spend the majority of my first days laying prone either in the saloon or the cockpit. I just don’t handle the motion well. He sets the sails, navigates, cooks, cleans, and keeps himself to task, while I do my best to not be in the way. I take Meclizine HCI tablet which make me lethargic for the first couple days. I have an electronic Relief Band, but it is wearing down after four years of abuse and I need to replace it.
As he has the energy, he does the bulk of the work and when I’m feeling better, I’ll step up to help.
He make videos every day for the crossing. Here is the video of our first couple days
Day 1 and 2
